Whether it’s your customers, your employees, or your partners – making your business work is about enabling people to work together. At HiveLive, our goal is to bring your company the power of community: business that’s smarter, faster, richer, better.

HiveLive’s on-demand software enables companies to rapidly deploy custom-fit enterprise communities built around people, their relationships, and their shared knowledge. The foundation of our patent pending technology is a new Web 2.0 building block (called a Hive) that can be easily configured to function as a wide range of community applications (blogs, wikis, forums, FAQs, and more).

For example, our patented pointing based search technology enables mobile users to identify a building, landmark, or other points of interest, by simply pointing their iPointer®-enabled handset and pressing a button. The iPointer® Client running on their PDA, cellphone or other mobile communication device collects coordinate signals from GPS satellites and orientation information from a digital magnetic Compass to identify the user’s location and pointing direction. These coordinates are then sent to the iPointer® Server, where iST’s patented geospatial selection algorithms identify the selected object. Location-specific information is then selected and sent back over the wireless network to the user’s device.
